Send US dollars (USD) to my Argentine bank account

With ARQ, you can send your digital dollars (USDc) as US dollars to your own dollar account at an Argentine bank. Here’s how to make a transfer and what you need to keep in mind.

Rolling out now: this feature is being released gradually and requires ARQ app version 7.29.0 or above on iOS or 7.29.6 or above on Android. If you don’t see it yet, update your app and please wait. It will be available to you soon.

How to send US dollars?

  1. Add your bank account as a recipient:

    1. Once you are in the app, go to the Send tab.

    2. Tap on New recipient, and then choose Argentina.

    3. Enter the CBU or Alias of your US dollar account.

  2. Choose the currency (Santander accounts only):

    1. Some banks, like Santander, use the same CBU and Alias for pesos and dollars. If so, you’ll be asked to choose US dollars.

  3. Enter the amount:

    1. Input the amount you want to send. You’ll see an estimated conversion rate and the approximate amount in US dollars that will arrive in your bank account.

  4. Confirm transfer:

    1. Review the details and confirm the transfer.

Who can use this?

  • Your account must be verified with your Argentine DNI and CUIT/CUIL.

  • You can only send US dollars to a dollar account in your own name (same CUIT/CUIL as your ARQ account). Transfers to third parties or business accounts are not available.

Important considerations

  1. Cost

    1. There’s no separate fee. Your digital dollars are converted to US dollars at the conversion rate at the moment of withdrawal. This rate may differ from the one shown in the app.

  2. Times

    1. Transfers usually arrive within minutes, but can take up to 24 hours depending on your bank.

    2. If your transfer is still processing after 24 hours, please contact our support team.

  3. Minimum amount

    1. There is no minimum amount.

Why can’t I send US dollars to my account?

  • The account isn’t in your name: we check that the CUIT/CUIL of the destination account matches yours. If it doesn’t, you won’t be able to continue.

  • It’s a peso account: US dollars can only be sent to dollar accounts.

  • The account is inactive or blocked: check with your bank that the account is active.
