Your Euro transfer may be returned because of the following reasons:
Incorrect account holder name
Since September 2, 2026, your Euro account details are in your own name. Transfers addressed to the previous account holder name (our account provider) are accepted until October 1, 2026 — after that date, they may be rejected or returned to the sender.
If your transfer was returned, check the recipient name the sender used. Update any saved recipient at the sending bank to your full name as registered with ARQ, and try again. Some banks also show a name-check warning before sending — if the names don't match, correct the name rather than confirming the warning.
Incorrect account details
Ensure that the recipient account details are correct. If the recipient account details are incorrect, the transfer may not reach your ARQ account and could potentially be returned.
Transfer is different from SEPA
You can only receive SEPA transactions in your assigned IBAN. If you haven't received the transaction you're expecting in your balance, you can check with your bank's support to verify that the transaction you sent was a SEPA transaction and not another type, such as SWIFT (which we do not accept).
